The Original MySpace Blogs
My original MySpace blog (www.myspace.com/tonyborries), known as ‘The Blog’, developed into a series of stories often based on real life events. The blog will be continued here (blog.table61.com) and probably be copied to MySpace as well.
The stories involve a recurring set of characters who were originally developed around real people I know. While I’ve been congratulated on my creativity in these posts, the truth is, they’re really just a glimpse into my true life (with the boring parts removed).
Gabe’s Girls is largely based on true events directly involving myself and my friends, usually while drinking at parties.
Mitch’s Girls take a hopeless romantic turn to the girls of Table 61. These events are also based on real events, but the characters focus on the girls.
This is followed by Jessie’s Boys. Jessie is a composite of many people, both male and female, who goes through an exaggerated tale of bad dating. While the character has ties to real people, the stories are mostly made up. These stories are basically what I had in mind for Mitch’s Girls, but had the wrong characters.
Lindsey’s City shifts to new characters and is based largely on real events, places, and traffic from my life in Austin, TX.
